The following is a brief summary of significant matters impacting the design and construction community on which the Building Development Commission and the Code Enforcement Department have focused on from October 1, 2022, through December 30, 2022.  Further details on each of these follows:

1.    2022 END OF YEAR TECHNOLOGY UPDATE
2.    FY23 BUDGET UPDATE

1.    2022 END OF YEAR TECHNOLOGY UPDATE
Accella Phase II and Sprint 7 are finished which puts on track for March. The next portion upcoming is Posse after all Sprints are complete.  Posse developments will happen after Phase I which puts roll out somewhere later this year, October to January timeline.  If it all falls in line it will be October.  Computronix delay in reporting must be complete.  The permitting and inspections systems are being upgraded now and scheduled for completion by March. The full upgrade is due after the second report with the full Accella and Computronix upgrade.  This will require resources from our team. Aaron asked for a simplistic report for technology changes.  A simplistic report is being prepared for the Building Development Commission.

2.    FY23 BUDGET UPDATE
Three (3) Budget Subcommittee meetings are held in total.  During the first meeting the Subcommittee reviews the current year’s budget and discusses any challenges and accomplishments up to that point.  The 2nd meeting the Subcommittee discusses proposals for the upcoming fiscal year along with any updates, changes, cost increases or code changes.  The final meeting the Subcommittee wraps up what costs and priority should be included in the proposed budget as well as the forecasted revenue needed to support our expenses.
