Accela Citizen Access (ACA)
Effective Jan. 8, 2024, Code Enforcement has begun transitioning to a new customer portal which allows customers to manage plan review, permitting, and inspections under a single login. This one-stop solution has long been a request from our customers, and we are pleased to be able to offer this streamlined access to Code Enforcement services.
Which projects can utilize the new portal?
Effective Jan. 8, 2024, the following projects should submit using Accela:
All residential projects requiring plan review, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Single-family or two-family structures
- Two-story accessory dwelling units (ADU’s)
- Two-story garages
Select small commercial projects meeting the following criteria:
- Small Commercial Upfits and Renovations projects up to 10,000 square feet
- Business (B), Mercantile (M) or Storage (S) classifications
The following project types are in the process of being moved over to the new system and updates will be posted on this page as the schedule is finalized. For now, customers submitting these types of projects should continue to use our existing portals, EPM or POSSE Outrider/the contractor dashboard:
- Large commercial projects/OnSchedule
- Mega projects
- Special projects
- Trade Internet Permits (TIP)
- Homeowner Internet Permits (HIP)
- Residential master plans
- Residential and commercial repairs, renovations and upfits not requiring plan review
What about projects that have already been submitted?
Customers with projects already in progress will continue using the existing customer portals for the duration of that project. Our existing customer portals will remain online for some time while projects already under way are completed and more project types are moved over to Accela.
